When is the next 2021 sale? UK July Summer Sale start date, how to book a VIP location – and how to get the best deals
Buyers across the UK live for following seasonal sales – and for good reason.
The fashion and housewares retailer usually puts four sales per year, reducing prices by 50% or more.
This means shoppers could take advantage of online and in-store deals during Next’s latest summer deal.
So when the sale begins, how can you book a VIP location – and how can you get the best deals?
Here’s what you need to know.
When is the next 2021 sale?
Next has remained as low-key as ever on its July sale start date.
Buyers are still eagerly awaiting the retailer to confirm the start date.
That hasn’t stopped rumors from circulating online, however, with a Facebook buyer from the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group claiming the bargain event could start on Saturday July 10.
Last year’s summer sales began around the same time, when VIP slots became available from June 20 and in-store prices were reduced from July 2.

How can I shop the sale?
The Next summer sale is generally available in store as well as online.
But even though the shops are open following Covid containment, social distancing measures may mean physical retailers cannot join the event.
Next has yet to confirm whether the sale will be in-store and online.
How to book a Next sale VIP location?
VIP Next sale locations allow savvy buyers to access the event earlier than others.
These are available to customers who have a Next flexible credit card.
Each year there are a limited number of VIP slots available, and they are on a first come, first served basis.
VIPs can log in up to 48 hours before the start of the sale to see what the retailer has to offer.
Unfortunately, slots are now closed to new members, after the introduction of a June 30 application deadline.
But all is not lost, as those who are already signed up with a Next credit account should be able to reserve a slot if there is any remaining.
However, if you missed a niche, they’ll be available again before the retailer’s next seasonal sale.
Buyers should note that there are strict criteria to register for a Next credit account, which has a variable APR rate of 23.9%.
– Have at least £ 250 of available credit on your Next credit account
– Have placed and kept an order from the Next Directory during the past year
– Have an up-to-date email address registered on Next, and be registered to receive sales and promotion emails
– Have returned less than two-thirds of the items you ordered.
How can I get the best deals?
The Next Sale is popular for a reason: prices are usually reduced by at least 50%, but some discounts have reached as high as 70% in the past.
There will be offers in most categories including home, fashion and furniture.
It’s a good idea to start by thinking about what you might want ahead of time.
Those with a VIP location can easily do this by checking the ‘Next Sale Preview’ link where you can write down item codes so you can quickly add them to your cart when the sale begins.
If you don’t have a VIP slot, you can always make a list of the type of products you’re looking to buy and stick to it to make sure you don’t panic when the time comes. You can even bookmark your favorites.
Another tip is to sign up for Next newsletters and make sure your email address and cell phone number are up to date in your account in order to receive the latest sales information from the retailer.
Finally, if you shop at Next often, it may be worth signing up for Next Unlimited delivery. It costs £ 20 a year and gives you unlimited next day deliveries, seven days a week, with free returns.
Regular home delivery costs £ 3.99, so you could save a small fortune if you place multiple orders per year.
